The magic of poetry: Nature opens the door, singing to the heart, invites us to experience a deep sense of belonging and connection. If you were on a Forest Bathing walk with me, I would tell you that my secret agenda is that you will come to experience yourself as an integral part of the forest, not separate from it. It is my hope that these poems will do the same by weaving you with words into an awareness of your participation in the intricate, intimate, vast web of life, belonging to something so beautiful and amazing. The forest has a lot to teach us about how to live well and foster a community of connection.
Come walk with me with awareness along the song-lines of the heart. Breathe deep belly breaths. Feel the soles of your feet come into conversation with the Earth. Experience the warmth of sunlight tangling with your hair. Bathe in the light in and around you, opening and energizing your heart.
